spazio started in munich — 37 exhibitions between 2020 and 2024 in the glockenbachviertel. as the gallery relaunches online, we are adding german studios to the collection.

the moment

since 12 august, the eu's new packaging regulation makes cross-border selling genuinely hard for small studios — an authorised representative in every destination country, no exemption for small businesses. german designers know this pain from the verpackg years, now multiplied by 26. it is exactly the problem a gallery can carry better than a single studio.

who we are looking for

studios and designers working in germany — furniture, lighting, objects, tableware. unique works or small numbered editions. our munich anchor is studio von schoenebeck, whose new pieces just joined the collection — that is the register we curate for.
