by creating a sense of disorientation, unfamiliar logics and new orders, giorgi invites the viewer to reflect on their own identity and its limits. he holds a master in architecture from the university of palermo, studied architecture at rwth aachen and took part in an editorial illustration workshop at mimaster milan. his work has been shown internationally.

alessandro giorgi, born 1989 in castelvetrano, sicily, works between sicily and munich. he draws on a childhood in a small fishing village on the southern coast — a borderland closer to africa than to europe — where studying art was not an option, and where he found his own way into a lucid-dreaming perspective on the world. spazio showed his work in february 2024.
