paolo ulian

paolo ulian studied at the academy of fine arts in carrara and at isia in florence. in 1990 he joined the studio of enzo mari as an assistant, and collaborated with him from 1992.

in 2000 he took part in the salone satellite, winning first prize in the design report award; in 2002 he won the dedalus award for european design and took part in hotel droog in milan — the mat-walk mat designed for the occasion entered the permanent collection of the design museum london. he went on to design for droog, driade, fontana arte, danese, zani & zani, coop, azur ceramics, skitsch and officinanove.
