what is collectible design?

functional objects — furniture, lighting, tableware — made as unique pieces or small numbered editions by independent designers. it sits between product design and art: made to be used, collected, and to hold value. at spazio, many pieces are signed and numbered by the designer.

how does buying at spazio work?

spazio works on consignment, directly with the designers. every piece comes straight from the designer's studio: we curate the selection and handle payment and support — the designer produces and ships insured to you. founded in munich in 2020, today run between munich and lisbon.

what does shipping cost, and where do pieces ship from?

pieces ship from the designers' studios across europe. for most objects, eu parcel shipping is already included in the price. furniture ships as insured two-man freight at a €190 flat rate within germany and the eu. outside the eu: on request — write to nino@thespaz.io.

can i return a piece?

yes — the eu 14-day right of withdrawal applies to standard editions. truly custom, made-to-order commissions may be excluded — we always tell you before you order. details in our return policy.

is every piece unique?

many are — one-offs exist once and are gone. others are small numbered editions, or made to order with the lead time stated on the product page. the shop always shows what is available right now.

can i visit spazio in munich?

yes, by appointment. the space at aventinstraße 1 (glockenbachviertel) hosts artist residencies and a small community of creative freelancers. write to nino@thespaz.io to arrange a visit.

can i rent the space?

yes — the 120 sqm factory loft in a quiet courtyard near gärtnerplatz can be rented for photo shoots, pop-ups, workshops and private dinners. see thespaz.io/pages/mieten or inquire directly.

which designers does spazio represent?

among others: denis santachiara, alberto meda, paolo ulian, camilla richter, joão bragança, rostyslav sorokovyi (kint), new facettes, studio von schoenebeck and tug studio — with a growing group of portuguese designers joining in 2026.
