about the designer: alessandro zomparelli is a computational designer and lecturer with a background in engineering and architecture. he was part of the design team at co-de-it and worked on the reefs project, a 3d-printed reef system. he has taken part in international workshops and co-founded mhox, a generative design studio. he is the author and developer of open-source add-ons for blender, including tissue, has taught at various institutions and was a research fellow in the create group at the university of southern denmark.
