cetti studio is monica cetti’s studio in copenhagen. her practice moves between furniture, interiors and objects, with a particular focus on material, form and the relationship between the two. she works across scales, from kitchens and interiors to furniture and smaller objects, often exploring the meeting of contrasting materials: stone and aluminium, weight and lightness, mass and structure.
her approach is precise and material-led, with an interest in how proportion, construction and tactile qualities shape the character of an object or a space. rather than working within a fixed category, cetti moves between function and form, allowing the material and the context to influence the outcome. across her practice, she is interested in the quiet details and transitions that give a piece its presence.
the podium pieces explore this relationship through a light aluminium frame supporting a slab of marble. each piece stands as an object in its own right, or can carry a sculpture, books or an art piece. the pieces are made by hand in denmark, using 85% recycled aluminium from a nordic rolling mill in finland.
the podium pieces were presented at 3daysofdesign in copenhagen as part of the group exhibition the sound of material.
