derived, yet altered and evolved from the design language of the chandelier presented at the kocherlball, tetris comes in three variations: for three, five or seven candles. the holders are made from solid beech, burned in the centuries-old japanese shou sugi ban technique and sealed with a silky-matte varnish, with aluminium inserts and details in red lacquer. the idea emerged after the burnt-down candles had started to lightly char the surface of the rough wooden prototypes during the kocherlball — the studio kept the effect. the colour combination of black and red creates a synthesis of elegance and festive expression; three simple, repeating basic shapes merge into one geometric figure.
