a floor lamp that echoes fingers closing as they rise: the body flows from the base into the shade in one continuous form, with curves and reliefs running upwards. the shade is handmade by müge du from japanese kozo paper over a natural rattan structure, held by stainless steel beads and linen thread; the stainless steel base is bent by hand by stephan sammer. the serpentine collection starts from the abstract snake carvings of göbeklitepe: the base rises like a serpent from the earth towards the light.
